Nepali Congress (Democratic) Thursday said that the roadmap presented by the CPN-UML is hardly of any use towards resolving the problems facing the country. Party sources however said that no conclusion as such has been made over the issue.
Talking to media personnel, NC-D president and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said the UML roadmap, particularly in the context of the demand of restoration of his ousted government, was not handy. “Restoration of that government is the only step that can lead to a concrete solution,” he maintained.
Making roundabout comment on the King’s 7-point agenda Deuba argued, “Kings deeds do not match his words.” He also revealed that Speaker Tara Nath Ranabhat has conveyed him the message of the King.
NC-D leaders said the UML roadmap is too vague and leaves many a question unanswered. “The 9-point agenda do not suggest anything,” NC-D spokesperson Hom Nath Dahal told Nepalnews. He expressed doubt whether the proposal was really the brainchild of the UML.
Dahal made it known that the central committee meet really did not give much emphasis to the UML proposal and said that the party would soon come up with its own agendas, hinting that yet another “roadmap” is in the offing.
