The Nepali Congress has proposed the name of senior leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai to contest the November election from Constituency no: 1 of Kathmandu despite the fact that Bhattarai has not openly declared his support to Koirala or Deuba following the vertical split in the party.
The meeting of the NC regional working committee that met Thursday decided to propose Bhattarai’s name.
In case Bhattarai decides not to contest the polls, the committee has recommended the names of Lokesh Dhakal, Haribol Bhattarai and Govinda Gajurel as alternate candidates to contest from Constituency no:1.
