The fire that broke out at Myanglung, the district headquarters of Terathum has been brought under control and people have been evacuated from their homes, Radio Nepal reported quoting Chief District Officer Hari Lochan Sharma.

Locals have been shifted to nearby schools and other shelters. Food is being brought into the district from Hile of adjacent Dhankuta. Some hundred houses were gutted in the fire that broke out in Myanglung market Sunday evening. No casualties have been reported so far.
