Kathmandu, June 24: Mosquito nets, towels and water purifiers were distributed to the helpless at the home for the elderly at Pashupati under the joint auspicious of the Nepal Social Development Centre, Kathmandu and the Armed Police Battalion No. 2 Maharajgunj.

One mosquito net and one towel each were distributed to 180 elderly and some seven water purifiers including two donated by Mohanlal Rajbanshi provided for their common use.

Ex-Inspector General of Police Hem Bahadur Singh, Deputy IGP Ananta Ram Bhattarai and officials of the centre handed over the materials to the elderly and the chief of the home.

On the occasion, chairman of the centre Renu G.C. And executive member S.S. Basnet said generous persons had extended co-operation as per their capacity without seeking sponsorship from donor agencies or commercial firms.
