A moderate earthquake was felt along the Nepal-India border in far-western Nepal on Saturday afternoon, according to reports.

Though the Department of Mines and Geology of Nepal didn’t say anything about the earthquake and its impact on the Nepali territory, Indian official news agency PTI quoting the Meteorological Department of India said that the quake measuring 5.0 on the Ritcher Scale was felt along bordering Indian parts areas like Almora and Pithorgarh in Uttaranchal. These areas are adjoined with Nepali bordering areas in the far-western region.

The tremors were felt 13:18 p.m. PTI said no human casualties or damages of properties were reported, however.
