Even as the human rights activists have stepped up their pressure on the government demanding immediate publicizing of the report of Rayamajhi Commission and appropriate action against the culprits named in it, a ministerial committee formed to inspect the report has said it is still studying it.

“We are studying the report. We will give proper recommendations to the cabinet soon,” said deputy Prime Minister KP Oli who heads the committee. The committee held two and a half hour meeting on Monday.
According to Oli, the committee’s recommendations will be in accordance with the desire of the people.
Another member of the committee Hridayesh Tripathy, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, said that the next meeting of the committee would make the necessary recommendations. “Our study is almost complete now,” he claimed.
The committee had been formed by the cabinet to go over legal and other aspects regarding the recommendations for actions made in the Rayamajhi Commission report.
