Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Buddhi Raj Bajracharya, sustained serious injuries when his car was hit by a minibus in the capital city Monday afternoon.
Bajracharya’s car was hit by a minibus coming from opposite direction at Tripureshwor at around 2:15 p.m. when he was on his way to Tundikhel to witness the Fulpati ceremony, police officials told reporters at the Bir Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
He sustained injuries in his head, neck and chest but is out of danger, doctors involved in his treatment said. The driver of his car and his bodyguard were also injured in the accident.
Ministers, his family members and well-wishers had gone to Bir Hospital to know about his condition.
Bajracharya’s car was badly damaged in the collision. The minibus and its driver have been taken under control for investigation, police said.
