KATHMANDU: A military revenue inspection team from Birgunj Wednesday intercepted four trucks carrying Rs.5.2 million worth of smuggled  goods at Nijghad, officials said.

The goods were imported from India without paying customs duty. The team also arrested one trader from Malangwa and the drivers.

The trucks were transporting urea and sugar currently in shortage in the market ahead of the tihar festival.
