Kathmandu, June 19:   A delegation from Syuchatar vdc led by MP Asta Laxmi Shakya today met managing director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Bishnu Bom Malla and submitted a memorandum concerning damages caused by the high tension lines of the NEA and the Kulekhani Sub-station in the area.

Demands such as providing compensation for the land below the high tension lines, blacktopping of the two kilomtre road from Kulekhani Sub-station, launching of development and construction works in the VDC, and provision of medical treatment for the victims of the electrical radiation have been made in the memorandum.

The delegation comprised of VDC chairman Shyam Sunder Thapa, vice-chairman Guna Bahadur Lama, chairmen of various wards and the affected farmers.
