A two-day international workshop cum seminar on “Medicine Update – 2003” has begun in Dharan Saturday, reports said Sunday.
Internal Medicine Department of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences is hosting the meeting participated in by 250 medical staff of Nepal and India. The workshop aims at studying the effectiveness of medicines including those used for Kalaazar, heart, kidney, diabetes and lungs.
Inaugurating the workshop, vice chancellor of the institute Dr. Shekhar Koirala said the conclusions of the workshop would be beneficial for all including doctors.
“The meet will draw conclusions on medicines used in major diseases,” said Dr. Prahlad Karki, chairman of organising committee and chief of the department.
A total of 15 work papers will be presented in the workshop, according to RSS.
