Manendranagar, Mar. 17: The Maoists militants raided a house of Kalyan K.C. at Dungaon, Shankerpur VDC ward No. 7, Kanchanpur District and set ablaze his tractor on Monday night, according to the district police office.

The gang of about thirty members also carried off 12 bags of paddy, 10 bags of mustard seeds and Rs. 7,000 in cash, says Deputy Police Superintendent Ram Lagan Prasad Yadav.

Prior to this, the gang is reported to have tied an accountant of Kalyan K.C. and his tractor diver.

The area police office of Belauna made 14 arrest in the course of its investigation in that connection and seven of them have been released.

Deputy Superintendent says that any one found not guilty among the rest will also be released later.
