Maoists abducted and killed an activist of the ruling Nepali Congress Party in Dang Wednesday, police said.
Rebels grabbed Radheshyam Yadav, 28, from Bela village in Home Minister Khum Bahadur Khadka’s home district, took him to a nearby jungle and hacked him to death.
Several Maoists were injured as villagers resisted rebel attempts to pillage paddy that was ready to be harvested.
