Maoists have abducted three ex-Kamaiyas or bonded labourers from the western district of Banke on Sunday, radio reports said Monday.
Maoists abducted the ex-Kamaiyas from Baijapur village, which is considered a stronghold of the rebels and has no security posts, according to the reports.
Chaupuria Tharu, 50, Devi Ram Tharu, 35 and another individual from the same Tharu community were abducted, the reports said, adding, whereabouts of the three are still unknown.
Meanwhile, a gang of dacoits is reported to have looted properties worth Rs.200,000 from a village in Siraha district Sunday.
