KATHMANDU:  The pro-Maoist Tharuwan Autonomous Region Janaparisad has set conditions for the NGOs and INGOs operating in the Bardiya district.

According to a report in The Himalayan Times, the Janaparisad has said that every NGO and INGO of the district must be registered with them as well as the District Administration Office. Furthermore, the registrations which cost Rs 300, are to be renewed every year.

The Tharuwan Autonomous Region Janaparisad also asked the organisations to submit progress reports.
