The central committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist) has formed a task force headed by Politburo member of the party, Ram Bahadur Thapa a.k.a. Badal, to recommend the names of the leaders to represent the Maoists in the interim government and interim legislature.

The central committee meeting held at Kami Danda of Kavre district has asked the task force to recommend names of the party leaders to join the interim government and interim legislature to the party Headquarters (HQ).

The party HQ will take final decision on the names after the report of the taskforce.

However, some radio reports quoted Maoists sources as saying that the meeting agreed to join the government under the leadership of Maoist spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara. However, talking to Nepalnews, one of the participants of the meeting said that there was not such agreement in this regard. He added that the party HQ will decide about the leadership only after the taskforce submits its report.

Leaders of the central command will be the members of the task force.
