Maoists denied news speculating that dozens of Maoists were killed in the air assault by Royal Nepal Army in the Thapachour of Jajarkot District, where Maoist had organized a mass meeting to announce the Bheri-Karnali Autonomous Government on Monday.
According to reports in their website, the Maoists have said one supporter Jaya Bahadur Chilaunay was killed in the attack and two other were wounded in Jajarkot. The bombings from the helicopter completely destroyed one home and four buffaloes were also killed, the statement said.
Party Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara participated in the program and a 25-member body of Bheri-Karnali Autonomous government was announced in the program, it added.
