Maoists have called a two-day strike in February to protest the October 4 Royal Proclamation that dismissed the elected government led by Nepali Congress leader Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Maoist leader Prachanda in a press statement said the strike has been called on February 13 and 14 to protest against the Royal Proclamation and the suspension of the people’s sovereign rights.
