A group of Maoist rebels on Sunday night attacked and destroyed the St. Joseph School in Prithvi Municipality of Gorkha district.

According to reports, educational materials and over a dozen computers were destroyed in the bomb blast in the school, reports said. Nobody was injured by the blasts. The reports added that the rebels also looted a school computer.

The school has remained closed following the attack. The Maoists had targeted this school, established in 1994, last year too. nepalnews.com pd Sep 13 04
