Maoists Sunday admitted that they attempted to rob Agriculture Development Bank in Narayangadh losing some of their colleagues in the cross firing on Friday.

A statement from the rebels’ Western Central Command posted in their official website on Sunday admitted the failure, saying only five of their colleagues were killed. Earlier reports said six Maoists were gunned down in the incident.

“P.L. commander Sagar Humagain of Chitwan, two P.L. Vice Commanders Akash from Kapilvastu and Keshav along with two Section Commanders Sushil and Rupesh were killed in the encounter,” said the statement.

“We are investigating the reason of the failure of their attempt,” it added. nepalnews.com mr Jan 25
