In what is seen as yet another evidence of continuing violation of the pact signed between Maoists and the ruling seven party alliance, Moist cadres abducted three people and later released them on condition of not joining the Nepali Army. There was no immediate comment from the rebels.
The Maoists had abducted three youths of Sindhupalchowk and Ramechhap districts on August 3 from Balaju of Kathmandu.
Reports quoted Uddhav KC of Ramechhap, who came to Bidur of Nuwakot after being released from the rebels captivity, as saying that the rebels, however, kept their educational certificates and citizenship certificates with them.
Despite repeated commitments of their top-brass, the Maoist rebels are continuing the acts of abductions and atrocities during the period of ceasefire.
