A Maoist cadre was killed in a clash with villagers in Debapurteta VDC in Bara district Friday night.

Reports said 18-year-old Maoist cadre Naresh Yadav was beaten to death by the villagers. Seriously injured Yadav died on the way to Birgunj for treatment, reports quoting the District Police Office said.

Dispute between the Maoists and the villagers intensified after the latter beat a Maoist cadre to death on Thursday. Debapurteta area remains tense since Thursday night, reports said.
