A 20-year-old was arrested in Lahan, Siraha, Tuesday with Rs. 500 counterfeit Indian currency notes totaling Rs.80,000, police said.

Police recovered the fake notes from Mohammed Yunishes after a body search in the town. Rs. 500 Indian currency notes are easily available in the country despite a Nepal Rashtra Bank notification banning its circulation.
