Malaysian arrested for possession of illegal convertible currency

Kathmandu, 22 June: A Malaysian national was arrested Thursday as he was boarding a Thai International flight for Bangkok in possession of illegal convertible currency, airport officials said.
Officials did not explain how the currency possession was illegal although the traveler was a foreigner.

The male national was identified as Piazza Prate Singh. Altogether  $9,5000  was recovered from his bag after a search.
