Kathmandu, Jan. 4 : Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ramchandra Poudel has in a message sent today to the all-sides action committee in Rajbiraj, Saptari urged all brothers and sisters in Saptari to help maintain peace and law and order by showing love, goodwill and cordiality among one another.
Paying tributes to the late Khusilal Yadav, who died in a protest rally organised in Saptari in reaction to the unfortunate incidents that took place in Kathmandu, and extending heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family, Deputy Prime Minister Poudel said that he joins the people of Saptari in this hour of grief.
Referring to the unfortunate incidents that took place recently in Kathmandu, Saptari and various other parts of the country and expressing grief over the loss of life and property in incidents in Kathmandu which were planned so as to disturb centuries-old social unity and goodwill, Mr Poudel said it is the duty for all Nepalese whether living in the mountains, hills or Terai to maintain goodwill and law and order in their respective sectors.
Expressing confidence that the people of Saptari will make a special contribution, as in the past, towards consolidation of unity and cordiality, the basis of our multi-lingual and multi-community Nepali society, Mr Poudel has condemned incidents triggered to disturb communal harmony and targetted towards any specific community.
“Despite my wish to come personally to the condolence meeting to extend heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the people of Saptari, I was not able to do so because of the no-trust motion against the leadership of NC Parliamentary Party scheduled to be decided today”, Mr Poudel said in the message and pledged to come there at a suitable time and extended condolences to the family of the late Yadav.
Stating that a commission has already been constituted to investigate the Saptari incident and action will be taken against those found guilty by the commission, Mr Poudel said even though the loss of a priceless life cannot be compensated, the government has decided to provide Rs. 100,000/ to the family of the late Yadav and make arrangements for treatment of those injured.
