Locals Disrupt Flights in Mustang
Kathmandu, Nov.14: Alleging discrimination, irate locals disrupted flights in and out of Jomsom by private airlines this week, reports from Mustang said.
Locals led by District President Nirmal Kumar Gauchan disrupted flights this week at the only airport serving the trans-Himalayan district bordering Tibet– a popular tourist destination.
Locals accuse private operators for charging arbitrary fares and giving preference to tourists. Royal Nepal Airlines operations in the district have not been affected.
