Public life in Jomsom, the headquarters of Mustang district, has been completely disrupted due to snowfall along with heavy rainfall since Wednesday night, the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) reported.

Foreign and domestic tourists who are on tour of Jomsom and pilgrims going to Muktinath have also been stranded due to the snowfall.

The locals said that the area has witnessed such heavy snowfall after eight years.

RSS quoted Chief District Officer Tirtha Parajuli as saying that civil servants working in the District Administration Office and other government offices are facing difficulties in reaching their offices due to the accumulation of up to 12 inches of snow around the offices and on the roads.
