Addressing the ceremony CPN-UML general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal said if the Nepalese communist parties work towards realising ‘multiparty democracy’ in reality then it would be a true tribute to Madan Bhandari. Saying that the multiparty communism of the people is more relevant in today’s context, Nepal requested all to tread the path shown by late Bhandari.

In the commemoration ceremony organised under the chairmanship of UML leader Amrit Kumar Bohara the party leaders and activists had adorned garlands on the statue of the late communist leaders.

Influential communist leader Madan Bhandari and his party colleague Jiv Raj Ashrit had died in a mysterious jeep accident in Dasdhunga 14 years ago while they were returning from a party’s district convention in Kaski.
