Rajbiraj, Jan. 21: The traditional Koshi festival held every year this month began on the banks of the Koshi river today.

Thousands of people converged here from within and outside the country to take part in the religious festival.

Devotees take ritual dips in the river and fast after performing worship to cleanse themselves of sin, as per traditional belief.
