King Mahendra Trust for Nature Conservation (KMTNC) and Zoological Society of London (ZSL) have signed a memorandum of understanding in London to work together, the Trust said.
Arup Rajouria, Member Secretary of KMTNC and Dr. Michael Dixon, signed the memorandum Tuesday. “The memorandum aims at embarking on joint projects in the areas of wildlife research, project development that meets the goals and missions of the two organistions in training and capacity building,” a joint press statement said.
The memorandum aims to further strengthen the KMTNC’s existing Biodiversity Conservation Centre in Chitwan, conservation and development activities in and around Royal Bardiya National Park and animal welfare and environmental education at the Central Zoo in Kathmandu.
