The World Hindu Federation (WHF) Tuesday announced its plan to felicitate the world’s only Hindu monarch, His Majesty King Gyanendra abroad, reports said Wednesday.

The 16th executive meeting of the WHF held in Kathmandu made the announcement, the reports said.

“Hindus of the world over wanted to felicitate the King in the United States,” the Himalayan Times quoted Bharat Keshar Singh, president of WHF, as saying. “Necessary steps and discussions for the same are in process.”

According to Diwakar Chand, secretary general of WHF the meeting has also initiated a long-term service-based project in countries worldwide and to set up a WHF revolving fund.

The WHF, few days ago, felicitated the King at the Royal Nepal Academy hall in Kathmandu on behalf of all Hindus. Buddhist, Jain and Shikh communities had also feted the King on the occasion.
