Their Majesties King Gyanendra and Queen Komal received Tika at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami Wednesday.

His Majesty King received Tika blessings from Nayan Bada Gurujyu Janardan Pandey amid Vedic hymns. Similarly, His Majesty offered Tika to Her Majesty Queen, Crown Prince Paras, Crown Princess Himani and other members of the royal family.

Meanwhile, hundreds of ordinary people as well as senior government officials and foreigners went to the Royal Palace to receive Tika from the King this afternoon. Though the King was supposed to offer Tika from 5:15 p.m. people had stayed in long queue right from 13:00 p.m.

The propitious time for receiving Tika was 13:25 p.m.
