His Majesty the King has granted audience to CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal at Nagarjun Palace on Friday evening, a radio report said, quoting UML sources.
According to Kantipur FM, Madhav Kumar Nepal had an appointment with the King at 5:30 pm Friday. Details of the meeting could not be received immediately.
Nepal was in media highlights for meeting the top brass of Maoists in Lucknow, India recently.
Nepal was once the common choice of five agitating parties for the post of Prime Minister. Differences between the parties and the King grew, as the King appointed Surya Bahadur Thapa to the respective post.
Thapa’s party, RPP is not in the five parties’ “anti-regressive” movement.
