A special Kathmandu court Thursday extended the remands of former ministers Khum Bahadur Khadka and Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta for another five days for the Commission for the Investigation of the Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to prepare corruption charges against them, court sources said.
This is the fourth time their remands were extended. Corruption charges are expected to be filed against them by Monday after months of investigations.
The CIAA this week filed corruption charges against former minister Chiranjivi Wagle, his wife, son and daughter-in-law. Wagle Jr. is absconding.
