A faction of People’s Front (PF) led by Chitra Bahadur KC has registered a separate party at the Election Commission (EC) under the name of National People’s Front (NPF).

KC’s faction, which has been claiming itself as the mainstream PF, finally decided to register itself as a separate party at the EC since the latter would not entertain two parties with the same name.

A few months ago, PF had split into three factions – one led by Amik Sherchan, one led by Chitra Bahadur Ale and third led by KC.

When NPF joined with United People’s Front (UPF) four years ago to form PF, KC used to head the then NPF as well.
