More than 100,000 people visited this year’s Kathmandu Utsav despite rains and street disturbances, organisers say.
The entertaining-marketing festival is held every year before Dashain since the last 11 years.

However, the organisers admitted that number of visitors was less than their expectation, which they say was due to political instability. The major attraction of the Utsav was news reading at Avenues TV.

Inspecting the event, Maoist leader Dev Gurung suggested giving priority for exhibition of Nepali products in such kind of events.

The even concluded on September 24.
