Kanchanpur DDC meet opens

Mahendranagar, Mar. 9: Judge of the Appellate Court (Kanchanpur) Paramananda Jha, declaring open the 10th district council of Kanchanpur District Development Committee here stressed the need for all political parties to make concerted bid for development works.

DDC Vice Chairman Bhojraj Joshi, academician Dr Devi Prasad Ojha, campus chief Dr Tekraj Panta, DDC Vice Chairman Rajendra Singh Rawal, senior journalist Ram Bahadur Chandra and other speakers also expressed their views.

The DDC chairman Rishi Raj Lumsali presented a budget of Rs. 201,119,000 for the next fiscal year at the district council.

Meanwhile, the district animal health services office here held a seminar on zoonotic diseases  to bring public awareness on the diseases transmitted from animals to man through various mediums.

The participants of the seminar discussed a working paper presented by the chief of the office Dr Shambhu Shah and stressed the need to launch public awareness campaign to control zoonotic diseases.

Journalists, teachers, health workers and representatives of various offices attended the seminar inaugurated by mayor of Charikot Shanta Bahadur Basnet.
