After Jhala Nath Khanal UCPN (Maoist) Constituent Assembly (CA) member Jhakku Prasad Subedi has become the victim of public wrath against CA members.

One Premraj Devkota, running a tea stall in Tinkune of Kathmandu, slapped Subedi across the face Monday evening and scolded him for not making the constitution on time.

Devkota called Subedi to his tea stall and slapped him across the face twice while Subedi was walking towards his house in Koteshwar from CA building in Naya Baneshwar.

Devkota has been arrested and is kept at the custody of Metropolitan Police Circle, Tinkune. Police said, they are preparing to file a case of public offence against him.

In the statement to the police Devkota said, he slapped Subedi as CA members had done injustice to the people and that he does not repent his deed.

Subedi was elected Constituent Assembly member from Kathmandu constituency 2 defeating former Prime Minister and senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Earlier, one Devi Prasad Regmi had slapped incumbent Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal during a function in Sunsari before Khanal became the PM. nepalnews.com
