The Government of Japan is to provide a grant of Rs. 7,546,050 to AIUEO Circle Association (ACA) Japan for construction of Bhimsengola Secondary School Building at Bhimsengola, Kathmandu.
Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Tsutomu Hiraoka and president of ACA Japan Sugahiko SUGIMOTO signed and exchanged a grant contract to this effect, Tuesday.
A press release issued by the Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu said, “The grant will be utilized for the construction of a three-storey school building as well as the procurement of educational accessories and materials. The fund also covers the monitoring costs to be incurred during the construction.”
Speaking at the function, Japanese envoy Hiraoka expressed his belief that the construction of the new school building is expected not only to provide quality education to a larger number of children from the socially and economically deprived communities, but also exhibit itself as a model school among such community and private schools.
