Kathmandu, June 20: The Department of Taxation today organidsed an interaction programme on Income Tax Bill-2057 which is about to be introduced in parliament during the ongoing session.
At the programme participated in by tax administrators, tax payers and representatives from various sections of the society, finance secretary Dr. Bimal Prasad Koirala expressed the belief that the enactment of the bill will help simplify the system of paying taxes.
Joint secretary at the Finance Ministry Lokman Singh Karki hoped that such a discussion would help refine the bill, while FNCCI president Pradip Kumar Shrestha said such an interaction helps to build an atmosphere of trust between the tax administration and tax payers.
Director general of the Department of Taxation Vidyadhar Mallik said such interactions on the bill will be organised at district level in order to obtain as much inputs as possible.
Thirty-five persons including the representatives of fncci, Nepal Chamber of Commerce and the officials of the Department of Taxation took part in interaction.
