Infertility treatment camp for animals held

Bhadrapur, Feb. 28 : Nepal Para-vets and Livestock Association Jhapa district chapter in association with the district livestock services centre held a day-long animal infertility check-up and treatment camp at Topagachhi of Jhapa district recently.

On the occasion, 150 cattle were treated for infertility and veterinary medicines worth Rs 20,000 distributed to the farmers.

Inaugurating the livestock check-up camp, Jhapa DDC chairman Arjun Rai said the animal infertility treatment camp would help the dairy farmers of the district in the context of the great loss borne by them due to the barrenness of their animals.

Topgachhi VDC chairman Padam Bahadur Poudel, member of the Nepal Para-vets Association Bharat Kumar Shrestha and Dr. Buddhiman Khaling of the east regional livestock services office said that good care and treatment and employment of modern technology would help a great deal in increasing the production from cattle.

Veterinary doctors Binod Kumar Mallik, Bodhraj Parajuli, Ashok Kumar Singh, Buddhiman Khaling, Dilip Sapkota and Bhesh Raj Poudel provided the treatment services on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the district livestock services centre, Jhapa district office, has conducted veterinary check-up and treatment camps in Sharanamati, Ghailaduba and Rajgadh   Bazar. Some 2,500 domestic animals were provided treatment services and medicines worth Rs 40,000 distributed on the occasion.
