Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula said Monday that the government is soon going to form the Industrial Security Force in order to look into the security of industrialists and businessmen. He gave this assurance after industrialists and businessmen severely criticized the government for its failure to provide security to them and demanded that they be allowed to keep revolvers for their safety.
Speaking at the 41st General Assembly of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI), he said, “The government is making necessary preparations to constitute a separate Industrial Security Force to look into the security of the industrial sector. We are discussing with the finance ministry about its structure and budget needed for it.”
At the assembly, the private sector businessmen strongly stress that extortion and similar terror activities of the Maoist affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) and trade unions should stop immediately as they are greatly hampering the industries and businesses.
