Indian police overnight raided an ammunition factory and confiscated a large cache of weapons in Shekhapur village near Patna, capital of the Indian state of Bihar, state run Radio Nepal said Monday.
According to the report quoting Indian police, Sanjaya Sharma -the owner of the factory and his three aides involved in making and supplying the arms to Maoists were arrested with 116 pistols.
According to them, they supplied arms and ammunition to Maoist terrorists in Nepal and India, the report said. There are frequent reports of networking between Nepali and Indian Maoist rebels with reference to the arms supply between them.
Meanwhile, Indian Sashatra Seema Bal (Border Security Force) has intensified security along Nepal India Border, reports said.
