A day before the ruling seven political parties and the Maoists are set to promulgate the interim constitution, Indian ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee met with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar Sunday morning.
Reports quoting a source close to PM said the two discussed the latest political developments in Nepal and bilateral issues.
Koirala informed Mukherjee about the upcoming setup of the interim legislature and interim constitution due to be promulgated tomorrow.

The source added that the half-hour meeting held immediately after the cabinet endorsed the interim constitution was focused mainly on the interim constitution and interim legislature.
Koirala said the new constitution and legislature would pave way in establishing permanent peace in the country.
Mukharjee on his part said India had been closely watching the developments in Nepal and reiterated his country’s support to Nepal’s peace process, reports added.
