Indian envoy meets PM Koirala

Indian ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shanker Mukherjee met with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter’s residence at Baluwatar Wednesday morning and discussed the current political developments including the situation in Terai.

The violence carried out by the two factions of Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (JTMM) in Terai region was also discussed during the meeting, Baluwatar sources said.

The prime minister and the Indian envoy had serious discussion regarding the threat caused to the people of Pahade origin following a teacher’s killing by the Goit faction of the JTMM on Tuesday, the source added.

The Indian envoy and the PM also exchanged views on management of Maoist camps.
