Indian Embassy has donated an educational grant totaling Rs. 28 million to a school in Ratamata, Pyuthan district in Western Nepal.
According to Professor Alok Bohara, the grant will be used for creating a 10+2 science focused education, the first one in the district, and building the school infrastructure, including a living quarter wing for girl students.
Named after the freedom fighters of the 2007 BS democratic struggle, this Mukti Middle School was established by late Badahakim Pratiman Chand Bohara in 2008 BS. The project was the result of the initiative taken by the Pratiman-Neema Memorial Foundation.
The signing ceremony at the embassy was attended by Indian Embassy Economic Counselor Pranaya Varma, headmaster of Mukti Middle School Hukum Bahadur Bista, district LDO Yagya Prasad Bhattari, and the Chairperson of the PNM Foundation Vijaya K.C.
