India provides assistance of one hundred million rupees for five schools

As continued support to the education sector of the country, the Indian government had agreed to provide assistance worth NRs.109,113,852 for five schools in Parsa, Mahottari and Siraha districts.

A press statement issued by the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said five memorandum of understanding (MOU) were signed between the Embassy of India, the District Development Committees of Parsa, Mahottari, Siraha and the respective schools on Tuesday.

The fund will be utilized for improving the educational infrastructure of Shree Nepal Rastriya Primary School, Auraha, Parsa, Shree Sharda Secondary School, Bahuwari, Sagauli, Parsa, Shree Zilla Uchangal Higher Secondary School, Pokhariya, Parsa, Shree Ram Narayan Ayodhya Higher Secondary School, Pipra, Mahottari and Shree Ram Janaki Secondary School, Chhajana, Siraha.

The fund will be utilized for construction of school buildings, hostels, libraries, laboratories, boundary wall and provision of furniture.

Monitoring committees have been constituted to oversee the projects and supervise construction and ensure proper utilization of the grant assistance.
