According to a report posted on The Telegraph (India) website on Friday, Indian ambassador to Nepal, Shyam Saran is expected to be called back to New Delhi to be given another assignment.
The report said the decision regarding the matter has been understood to have been taken by the Indian Prime Minister.
Saran, who took charge here in October 2002, is currently in New Delhi in connection with some official work.
Shiv Mukharjee, who is who is supposed to replace Saran as the Indian Ambassador to Nepal is presently working as the Indian envoy to South Africa. nepalnews.com pd/mk Jan 17
