KATHMANDU: Government has waived a one percent import duty on raw materials with a guarantee of exporting the finished products to encourage exports, an announcement of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said Friday.

The waiver will be for specified items, quantitative and for a limited period, the Ministry said. The Ministry did not specify items.
