The Home Ministry Monday announced that adequate security arrangements has been made for the maximum participation of all those wishing to join the special function being organized in Biratnagar for the civic reception of the King and Queen on January 3.
On the day of the event, security forces will be deployed at intervals of every kilometer of the road and buses carrying people to the felicitations programme will also be under guard by security personnel, the Home Ministry statement said.
The Home Ministry has also announced compensation to any damage of vehicles on that day and guarantee of compensation and security for every transport worker as well as compensation in case of damage caused to shops.
The underground Maoists have called for a bandh of Mechi and Koshi zones on January 3 and 4. The bandh coincides with the visit of the King and Queen to the eastern region for the first civic reception to be hosted by the people of the eastern development region.
