The government denied any casualty in Rolpa where police and army are jointly carrying out an operation to free 71 abducted policemen. The policemen were abducted by Maoist insurgents recently.
Spokesman of Home Ministry said Saturday that nobody has so far been killed in the in course of the search operation by army and policemen. The statement of Home Ministry spokesman came following some media reports that there were heavy casualty in Ropla after army and police jointly started operation against Maoist insurgents.
Maoist insurgents abducted 71 policemen from Holeri of Rolpa recently. The government has mobilized both army and police to free the abducted policemen and get back all the weapons, which were taken away by Maoist rebels from police.
Reports are still sketchy as communication with Rolpa is virtually cut off.
